Job summary

Eskaton, a nonprofit leader in aging in Northern California, is hiring a restaurant/food service role to assist with meals, dishwashing, and maintaining clean service areas. This position supports daily operations in our community dining rooms.

Starting pay ranges from $17.40 per hour to $20.96 per hour. Prior food service experience is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required; strong customer service and teamwork are essential values in our inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in set up and break down meals.
• Wash dishes per policy; maintain dish machine and logs.
• Assist supervisor/manager/director in assigned tasks.
• Maintain department cleanliness per cleaning schedule.
• Report damage or problems to Supervisor/Maintenance.
• Keep supervisor informed of questions or issues.
• Familiar with food service disaster plan.

Essential Job Functions

Starting pay ranges from $17.40 per hour - $20.96 per hour. Factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and market considerations may influence base pay.

Qualifications

Education:High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D., preferred.

Training And Experience

Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.

Knowledge And Abilities

Understands the philosophy of quality customer service and customer satisfaction.

Medium Work

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
