NC State University is seeking a Dishwasher/Stock Clerk for NC State Dining. The role may operate in a dining hall, retail operation, food court, or restaurant setting, with duties including washing dishes and supporting beverage and dining areas.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalency.
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.
Previous commercial dish washing experience
Understanding of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, glassware & serving utensils, bowls, pots & pans, using conveyor belt machine or by hand, ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized.
Maintain the flow of the dish room by having a steady supply of clean dishes, utensils, and glassware ready for use.
Assist, as needed, with restocking and cleaning the beverage and dining area, maintaining and restocking all public restrooms in the facility and removing all trash, and must sweep and mop at the end of the shift.
Assist with checking in food stock items, breaking down pallets, putting away food stock in a timely and organized manner, and placing received items in appropriate storage areas.
Performing necessary cleaning tasks in accordance with maintaining a Grade “A” Sanitation rating.
Other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met. Position may be asked to assist in other locations as necessary.

NC State Dining is seeking enthusiastic individuals to Join our Pack as a Dishwasher/Stock Clerk. Successful candidates may work in a dining hall, retail operation, food court, or restaurant setting.

Essential job duties include:

Washing dishes, glassware & serving utensils, bowls, pots & pans, using conveyor belt machine or by hand, ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized.

This is an hourly position, that includes a State required 32-day break at the end of 11 months. Superior work performance may provide an opportunity to renew employment and/or advance into a benefits eligible permanent position.

NC State Dining provides campus wide food services to students, staff, and faculty on the North Carolina State University Campus. NC State Dining operates 10 cafes, 3 food courts and 6 dining halls, 4 markets, 1 restaurant, vending, a nutritional counseling service, and a catering department. The department employs approximately 1000 temporary and student employees and approximately 190 permanent EPS and SHRA employees.
