Job summary

Areas USA is hiring a Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations in Orlando, FL. The role requires cleaning and sanitizing tableware, loading and unloading the dish machine, and keeping the dish room organized in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of restaurant experience, good teamwork and communication, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical stamina is needed, with frequent standing and possible lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a store/restaurant environment.

• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload the dish machine.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes and utensils and rack them for washing.
• Transport clean dishes to the cook's line and storage areas.
• Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.
• Monitor dish machine temperature and report issues.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware and detergents.
• Assist in other kitchen tasks as needed by supervision.

Job Title:DishwasherDepartment:OperationsReports To:Kitchen Manager/Concept ManagerStatus:Non-ExemptDate:Nov 2023Broad Functions: Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:Load, run and unload dish machine.Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage area.Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.Keep the dish room clean and organized.Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.Clean food preparation and production areas as required.Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas including equipment, meat blocks, hoods, grills, refrigerators, service counters, serving trays, and storage areas.Maintain all kitchen utensils in clean and orderly condition.Follow all security and safety procedures established by the Company.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Skills and Qualifications:At least one year’s experience in a Store/Restaurant environment.Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.Ability to work in a team environment.Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, and policy documents.EEOC Statement:We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse team and fostering an inclusive environment where employees feel empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
