Ojo Spa Resorts in Northern New Mexico is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to maintain spotless dishware for dining and to support kitchen staff with clean utensils and supplies. The role involves operating the dishwasher safely, managing supply levels, and preserving a sanitary work area.

The position emphasizes punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a hot, high-traffic kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Formación

• Previous restaurant or related experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen.

Description

The Dishwasher is responsible for supplying spotless, sanitized dishes for use in the dining room, clean kitchen utensils to the cooks, for operating the dishwashing machine using appropriate supplies and procedures, and ensuring adequate supplies of dishes and utensils at all times. The Dishwasher also ensures that kitchen floors and the dishwashing area are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant or related experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid New Mexico Food Handler certification required before hire
• Comfortable working independently and managing workload while supporting a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Punctuality and reliability are critical
• Good verbal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required
• Ability to work in an environment where the employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, noise, and odors
• Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds
• The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
