Marcus Hotels & Resorts in Madison, WI is seeking a Dishwasher (Steward) to keep the kitchen clean and organized while supporting food service operations at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. This full-time role offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with room for growth.

You will operate the dish machine, clean and sanitize equipment, assist with maintaining dish room, and help with cafeteria operations. The job emphasizes safety, hygiene, and high standards of presentation.

• The ability to work in fast-paced, high-noise kitchen environments.
• Comfort working in hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions.
• The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push or pull heavier loads as needed.
• Physical flexibility, including bending, reaching, and lifting overhead.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Operating and maintaining the dish machine according to manufacturer and health department standards.
• Scraping, rinsing, racking, washing, unloading, and properly storing dishes and utensils.
• Transporting clean dishes to the kitchen line and other Food & Beverage areas as needed.
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, including stovetops, ovens, fryers, mixers, coolers, and prep areas.
• Maintaining cleanliness of dish room, kitchen floors, walls, counters, walk-in coolers, freezers, and mats.
• Emptying trash and recycling throughout the kitchen and dish areas.
• Restocking supplies such as plates, utensils, soap, and hand towels.
• Handling cleaning chemicals safely and following all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assisting with moving food carts, dish racks, and kitchen equipment.
• Supporting associate cafeteria operations, including setup, breakdown, stocking, and inventory of paper goods.
• Preparing hot and cold food items for associate meals according to menus and recipes.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
• Following proper sanitation, hygiene, and personal appearance standards.

What Will You Be Doing?
