Job summary

Hilton Milwaukee City Center is seeking a Lead Dishwasher to direct stewarding assignments and uphold the highest cleanliness standards in our downtown Milwaukee kitchens and bars. The role supports exceptional guest experiences after a recent renovation and integrates into a renowned hospitality team.

You will oversee daily tasks, train staff, and ensure safe, efficient dish and area operations, with opportunities to grow within Marcus Hotels & Resorts' portfolio.

Qualifications

• Prior hospitality, cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions.
• Must be able to change activities quickly.
• General cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products.
• Maintain safe conditions by cleaning and drying floors and preventing slip hazards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the stewarding staff.
• Train and mentor new associates in all stewarding roles.
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists, and perform safety and sanitation inspections.
• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, processing dishes and utensils efficiently.
• Manage clean dishes, unload, stack, and store them in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen, including emptying garbage and general cleaning tasks.
• Sweep, mop, and dry floors to keep areas safe and clear of hazards.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and restock supplies.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service and assist with event needs.

What you will be doing:

• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.
