Job summary

The Hilton Milwaukee, a premier property managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Lead Dishwasher to direct the stewarding team and maintain spotless kitchen and bar areas for guests. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and adherence to safety standards in a high-volume setting.

This full-time, union position offers night and weekend shifts, a pay rate of $18.12 per hour, and benefits including meals, parking, and employee discounts across Marcus properties.

Qualifications

• Ability to tolerate varied working conditions.
• Able to change activities quickly.
• Prior hospitality, cleaning or janitorial experience preferred.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products.
• Maintain safe conditions by cleaning and drying floors and preventing slip hazards.
• Assist with moving supplies and equipment, cleaning spills, and other stewarding support as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help oversee the stewarding staff.
• Train and mentor new associates in all stewarding roles.
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists, and perform safety and sanitation inspections.
• Operate and maintain dish machine to standards, efficiently processing dishes and utensils.
• Manage clean dishes, unload, stack, and store them in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish area and kitchen, including emptying garbage cans and performing general cleaning tasks
• Ensure floor safety by sweeping, mopping, and drying, and transport soiled ware to designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, wipe down countertops, restock supplies, and assist with equipment movement.
• Set up equipment and bus stations for efficient service, anticipating event order needs and performing additional assigned duties.
