The Momofuku Dishwasher will work to help the BOH to execute smooth service through dish and equipment upkeep. The ideal candidate will be excited to be a part of the team and to uphold the Momofuku standards and values.

Compensation Band: $17.28 - $19.00 an hour plus 3% service charge.

Responsibilities

1. Wash all dishes and cooking equipment in a timely manner during and between restaurant services.
2. Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service.
3. Follow warning labels, directions, and food safety procedures.
4. Clean and maintain FOH areas if requested by supervisor.
5. Maintain open and effective communication with BOH and FOH teams.
6. Uphold a high standard of cleanliness of any BOH work areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas.
7. Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas.
8. Assist in other BOH areas as needed, including basic food preparation.
9. Support other team members and foster a positive work environment.

Required Qualifications

1. A positive and enthusiastic attitude, as well as a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skills.
2. Ability to work in an environment with wet floors, extreme temperatures, and loud noise.
3. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
4. Willing to accept guidance positively and implement directions productively.
5. Able to work in a standing/walking position for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 2+ years of experience in a Dishwasher, Porter, or similar role at a moderate to high-volume restaurant.
2. A proven track record of dependability and a focus on learning and development.

Physical Demands

• The physical demands include seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently. These requirements may be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
