Position Overview

The Utility Worker maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils. Responsibilities include:

• Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans manually or using dishwashing machines following HACCP guidelines.
• Cleaning work tables, walls, refrigerators, and equipment.
• Sweeping, mopping, and floor cleaning.
• Removing trash and garbage.
• Transferring supplies and equipment within storage and work areas.
• Cleaning equipment with approved chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Documenting HACCP logs as assigned.
• Participating in training programs and safety meetings.
• Reporting accidents and injuries promptly.
• Complying with all safety, risk management, and company policies.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; GED or additional experience if not.
• At least 1 year of experience if no high school diploma or GED.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) — must obtain within 30 days if not already held.

Additional Details

Hourly rate: $21.00 - $33.15. Salary considerations include experience, education, skills, and legal factors.
