Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized.
• Manage tasks efficiently to maintain kitchen workflow.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Restock kitchen and cooking line as needed throughout the shift.
• Perform routine cleaning of the kitchen and assist with general cleaning tasks as needed.
• Have a clear understanding of dish machine operations, including its chemical components, and follow proper procedures for changing water and chemicals as needed.
• Keep floors clean and dry.
• Ensure plates and smallwares are properly washed, sanitized, and stored.
• Maintain and inspect food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
• Correct unsafe practices or conditions and notify management.
• Commit to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.

Requirements

• 1+ year BOH experience in a full‑service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Can work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
• Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• For all California based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certification required (can be completed during training, up to 60 days after start date).
