Responsibilities

• Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile.
• Greets incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner, seats guests in the dining and bar areas, and ensures a smooth handoff to service staff.
• Coordinates wait and seats guests with a sense of urgency.
• Always smiles and has genuine conversations with guests.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.
• Commits to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Busses tables, delivers food and supports the dining room, and ensures every opportunity to WOW our guests is fulfilled.
• Has a general knowledge of the food and drink menu and is able to recommend and upsell products.
• Answers the phone promptly and professionally and directs calls.
• Leads the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards.
• Assists guests and supports Servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring a clean, welcoming dining environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• For all California based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications Required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date).
