Job summary

Carlton Senior Living in Elk Grove, CA is hiring for a kitchen helper to maintain a clean, sanitary environment and support dining operations for residents.

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday with shifts 8am-4pm on Sun/Mon and 1pm-9pm Tue–Thu. Pay range: $16.90–$18.40 per hour. Benefits include immediate pay, meals for employees, and education reimbursement. Some experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old per state requirements.
• Some experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist with food prep, banquet setup, and transporting supplies as needed.
• Support safety protocols and resident wellbeing.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

What we are hiring for:

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday (Sun & Mon 8am-4pm | Tue to Thurs 1pm-9pm)

Pay Range:

$16.90-$18.40/hour

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper procedures.
• Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and sanitizing work surfaces and equipment.
• Assist with food prep, banquet setup, and transporting supplies between storage, kitchen, and delivery areas as needed.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
• Some experience preferred, but not required
