Position Overview
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, etc., using both machine and manual cleaning methods. Ensures the dish area remains clean, safe, and sanitary.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand, ensuring all items are clean and sanitized.
- Store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
- Clean garbage cans and sort trash for pickup.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Sweep and scrub floors regularly.
- Receive, store, and transfer supplies and equipment.
- Perform line sweeps and trash changes as needed.
- Stock supplies on the cook line, refrigerators, and storage areas.
- Assist in food prep and other duties as required.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation policies.
- Adhere to shift schedules, clock in/out, and take breaks per policy.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Report to supervisors as directed and perform duties with urgency and standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant skills and experience.
- Food handlers card.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours and communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly and 150 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to work in hot, damp environments and perform physical tasks like bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Awareness of hazards such as cuts, burns, slips, and trips.
- Frequent hand washing.
