Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines or by hand
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing and kitchen area
• Sweep and mop floors as needed to maintain sanitation standards
• Dispose of trash and recycling and replace liners
• Assist dietary staff with basic kitchen cleanup tasks
• Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment
• Follow all infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Report broken equipment or maintenance issues to supervisors
• Support the dietary team to ensure the kitchen remains clean and efficient during meal service

Job Overview

The Dishwasher plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment for residents and staff. This position is responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with general cleaning duties in the dietary department.
