Job summary

ROOP Chicago is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in a fast-paced restaurant that values cleanliness and efficiency across every shift. You will clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, shelving, and work surfaces, dispose of waste properly, and help keep the line stocked and organized for smooth service.

A valid Food Handler Certification is required. Candidates should be punctual, collaborative, able to follow directions, and maintain high standards of cleanliness

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas to ensure a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate is punctual, efficient, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

• Monitor dishwashing machine operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues to leadership.

• Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with additional tasks as requested by leadership.

• If you are able to help in some kitchen prep as well that is a huge plus

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, and stooping.

• Must be positive, collaborative and committed to healthy communication and quality work
• Will need a valid Food Handler Certification for this role.
