Orijin Bakery in Downtown Ann Arbor is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to support daily production by maintaining clean bakeware, equipment, and serviceware. You will operate commercial dishwashing equipment, clean and sanitize stations, and help with opening and cleaning duties in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a steady flow of clean bakeware, cookware, sheet pans, utensils, and serviceware to support daily production.
• Operate and monitor commercial dishwashing equipment following sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, workstations, sinks, floors, and other areas.
• Empty trash, recycling, and compost and keep the workspace clean and organized.
• Restock cleaning supplies and assist with opening, closing, and deep cleaning tasks.
• Support bakery and cafe team with general cleaning and operations throughout the day.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain a constant flow of clean bakeware, cookware, sheet pans, utensils, and café serviceware to support daily production.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment while following food safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, workstations, shelving, sinks, floors, racks, and utility areas.
• Empty trash, recycling, and compost while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Restock cleaning supplies and support opening, closing, and deep cleaning responsibilities.
• Assist bakery and café team members with general cleaning and operational support throughout the day.

Requirements

• Previous bakery, café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout a scheduled shift.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive cleaning and dishwashing tasks throughout the day.
• Work safely around water, steam, cleaning chemicals, heat, and wet or slippery floors.
• Safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and move throughout the bakery while maintaining awareness of hot surfaces and surrounding team members.
