Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions in Aberdeen, SD, is hiring a part-time Dishwasher to help keep our school kitchen clean, organized, and safe. You’ll work Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., supporting dishwashing, utensil care, and basic kitchen sanitation alongside a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Keep the dish room running efficiently by washing dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment using proper sanitation methods.
• Support kitchen operations by assisting with general cleaning, organizing storage areas and chemicals, and helping with special events.
• Maintain food-safety and sanitation standards by following SOPs, completing HACCP logs, and monitoring safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers, and report equipment or supply issues promptly.
• Assist with inventory support by replenishing chemicals using proper PPE and alerting supervisors when supplies run low.
• Contribute to team success by helping train new team members and filling in for other kitchen duties across district locations when needed.
• Ensure proper storage by placing clean dishes and equipment in their designated locations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10am-1:30pm

The Dishwasher helps keep things running smoothly by making sure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are clean and ready to go. In this role you’ll play a big part in keeping the kitchen neat, organized, and safe, all while working alongside a team to keep meal service on track.

What You’ll Do

• Keep the dish room running efficiently by washing dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment using proper sanitation methods and maintaining clear separation between clean and dirty areas.
• Support kitchen operations by assisting with general cleaning, organizing storage areas and chemicals, and helping with special events as directed.
• Maintain food-safety and sanitation standards by following SOPs, completing HACCP logs, and monitoring safety practices throughout the kitchen.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers, and report equipment or supply issues promptly.
• Assist with inventory support by replenishing chemicals using proper PPE and alerting supervisors when supplies run low or become worn.
• Contribute to team success by helping train new team members and filling in for other kitchen duties across district locations when needed.
• Ensure proper storage by placing clean dishes and equipment in their designated locations.

Lunchtime Solutions provides an excellent food service for our two schools in Madison. The students get multiple options for breakfast and lunch. Staff is very reliable and if someone can’t come to work, the manager takes care of things so meals can be served on time.
