Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a part-time Dishwasher for Hastings School District on-site, with Monday–Friday daytime hours (7am–12pm).

You will keep dishes and equipment clean, support kitchen operations, and help maintain safety and sanitation standards in a school lunch program. Great teamwork and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Keep the dish room running efficiently by washing dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment with proper sanitation.
• Support kitchen operations by assisting with general cleaning, organizing storage areas, and helping with events.
• Maintain food-safety and sanitation standards by following SOPs and HACCP logs.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers and report issues promptly.
• Assist with inventory by replenishing supplies and alerting when items are low.
• Contribute to team success by training new members and covering other kitchen duties as needed.
• Ensure proper storage by placing clean dishes and equipment in designated locations.

Job description

Location: On-site at Hastings School District
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7am-12pm

The Dishwasher helps keep things running smoothly by making sure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are clean and ready to go. In this role you’ll play a big part in keeping the kitchen neat, organized, and safe, all while working alongside a team to keep meal service on track.

What You’ll Do

• Keep the dish room running efficiently by washing dishes, trays, utensils, and equipment using proper sanitation methods and maintaining clear separation between clean and dirty areas.
• Support kitchen operations by assisting with general cleaning, organizing storage areas and chemicals, and helping with special events as directed.
• Maintain food‑safety and sanitation standards by following SOPs, completing HACCP logs, and monitoring safety practices throughout the kitchen.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers, and report equipment or supply issues promptly.
• Assist with inventory support by replenishing chemicals using proper PPE and alerting supervisors when supplies run low or become worn.
• Contribute to team success by helping train new team members and filling in for other kitchen duties across district locations when needed.
• Ensure proper storage by placing clean dishes and equipment in their designated locations.
