Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a Full-time Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes and kitchen equipment. The role involves preparing items for washing, delivering patient trays, moving meal carts, restocking serviceware, and tracking sanitation logs to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent; Food Safety Handler Certificate and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Food safety certification preferred.
• Food Handler Certificate (FHC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment per safety standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking to remove soil.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time following protocols.
• Transport patient meal carts and nourishment carts to nursing units, maintaining cleanliness.
• Restock serviceware and monitor sanitation logs, chemical usage and equipment performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Certifications

• Education: High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]
• Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state
