Job summary

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots and pans to meet safety standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking to remove soil.
• Operate dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time.
• Transport meal carts between nursing units and restock serviceware.
• Maintain cart cleanliness and monitor sanitation logs and chemical usage.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education

Job Description:

Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards. Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization. Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies. Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment. Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance. Other duties as assigned.
