Job summary

American Dining Creations is seeking a Dish Room Attendant to support kitchen staff with dishwashing, cleaning, and janitorial duties. The role involves washing dishes and appliances, emptying trash, cleaning floors, and restocking items to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining dish areas, proper storage of dishes, and assisting with food preparation as needed. Flexibility for additional duties is required, and a focus on safety and cleanliness is essential.

Qualifications

• Time management and task focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communications effectively.
• Understanding and meeting health and safety standards by staying alert and focused.
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and thorough.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavy carts.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and washes dishes, pots, and utensils with a dish machine and 3-compartment sink.
• Keeps designated dish areas clean, organized, and clutter-free.
• Stores clean dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and containers properly.
• Maintains proper temperatures, water levels, and chemical dilutions in dish machines and sinks.
• Washes specific items by hand (e.g., cutting boards, large pots).
• Maintains clean and dry floors throughout the shift.
• Assists in storing food deliveries and organizing dry storage shelves.
• Completes janitorial tasks such as bussing tables, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and break-down of boxes.
• May assist with food preparation and station cleanup.
• Other duties as assigned.
