Job summary

Coral West Community Hospital is seeking a Utility Worker to perform dishwashing, cleaning, and related tasks in the kitchen/cafeteria environment. The role includes washing dishes, pots and pans, maintaining sanitation, and assisting with post-meal cleanup while following safety procedures.

The worker will set up and break down dishwashing equipment, record temperatures, and ensure proper storage of supplies. Cross-training in other areas may occur, with potential weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service environments is preferred.
• Able to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Must understand English language instructions.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots and pans and keep a sanitary environment in the kitchen/cafeteria.
• Set up and break down dishwashing equipment (3-compartment sink, dishwashing machine).
• Follow daily/weekly cleaning schedules and standards for all items.
• Clean refrigerators inside and out and maintain cleanliness of carts, walls, floors and ceilings.
• Store chemicals away from food and paper supplies and use MSDS-compliant chemicals.
