Job summary

Southern Pizza Company dba Pizza Inn in Louisiana is seeking an entry-level Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. You will handle dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and maintaining a clean, organized station, supporting cooks and servers throughout service.

The role requires reliability, ability to multitask, and willingness to work in a fast-paced restaurant. This position is full-time, on-site at our Franklinton location, with a focus on food safety and teamwork.

• Cleans and returns dishes and small wares to proper locations.
• Maintains and cleans dish machine; reports defects.
• Removes trash and keeps the dish area clean.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans soiled dishes and small wares. Returns clean and sanitized dishes to proper locations.
• Maintains dish machine. Ensures it is operating correctly. Reports any defects immediately. Cleans and polishes machine thoroughly on a regular basis.
• Removes trash from kitchen and places trash in dumpster.
• Keeps dish area clean and organized.
• Assists in kitchen where needed.
• Assists in other areas of the restaurant when needed.
• Completes opening and/or closing checklists.
• Other duties as assigned by Company Management.

Physical Demands

Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry dish racks weighing up to 40 pounds on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
