Job summary

AdventHealth in Dade City, Florida is seeking a part-time Dietary Services Aide to support patient meals and kitchen operations. You will clean and sanitize dishes, prep items for washing, and help deliver patient trays while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

This role also involves transporting meal carts, restocking service ware, and monitoring sanitation logs. A High School Grad or equivalent is preferred; a Food Handler Certificate may be required by state guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean service ware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
