Job summary

University Housing and Dining on UT Main Campus seeks a Lead Dish Room Attendant to supervise the dish room, ensure cleaning tasks are completed, and support staff during meals. The role involves maintaining equipment and sanitation throughout shifts and coordinating with supervisors to keep the unit running smoothly.

The position emphasizes training staff in proper sanitation, standard procedures, and safety guidelines while contributing to a productive dining environment on campus.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in commercial cleaning.
• One or more years of experience working with commercial cleaning equipment such as commercial dish machines.
• Experience training and leading staff in a restaurant, commercial, or institutional facility.
• Ability to complete and maintain Food Safety Training required by University Housing and Dining.

Responsibilities

• Assist dining supervisor with overseeing dish room area and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks are completed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards and handle equipment repairs/work orders with supervision.
• Set up and break down the dish room daily and look for ways to streamline procedures.
• Train staff in sanitation techniques and manage scheduling and feedback.
