Job summary

Hume Christian Camps seeks a Dish Room Lead to manage the dish room, ensure cleanliness, and support kitchen staff with quality product preparation. The role requires basic dish machine upkeep, shift leadership, and a commitment to meeting the spiritual needs of guests and team members.

The ideal candidate brings knowledge of cooking terminology, a teachable attitude, and flexibility to adapt to our camp environment. On-site housing and ministry-focused work are integral to the position.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cooking terminology and equipment.
• Must have a teachable attitude and adaptability to Hume's approach to Food Service.
• High flexibility to meet changing organizational needs.
• Has or can obtain Servesafe Manager Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the dish room and assist kitchen staff with quality products.
• Manage shift flow and dish room operations, including basic machine maintenance.
• Oversee Summer staff and weekend workers during the year.
• Support the broader mission by serving guests and staff with a friendly disposition.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure excellent guest experiences.
