Target Hospitality is seeking a Kitchen Staff I to support daily meals in a remote camp environment. You will maintain dishware cleanliness, operate the dishwasher, and uphold HACCP and sanitation standards under the Head Chef.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months dishwashing experience, can communicate in English, and are willing to rotate 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off. We provide housing, meals, health coverage, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 6+ months dishwashing experience or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Valid food safety certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and urinalysis.
• Must be able to travel and work long rotations away from home.

Responsabilités

• Maintain safety culture by following SOPs, JSAs, and policies.
• Clean and maintain the dining room and service areas.
• Sweep and mop floors in both kitchen and dining room.
• Clean and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and equipment.
• Operate and sanitize the mechanical dishwasher and monitor chemical levels.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for proper dishwashing procedures.
• Ensure clean dishes, flatware, cookware, and equipment are put away properly.
• Restock coolers and displays in the dining room.
• Provide world-class customer service to exceed guest expectations.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in emergency response procedures.
• Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Job Title: Kitchen Staff I

SCOPE

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of dishware, cookware, utensils, equipment, and the dining room and kitchen areas, operating the mechanical dishwasher and upholding sanitation standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture, following all SOPs, JSAs, and policies and procedures as set out by Target Hospitality.
• Clean and maintain the cleanliness of the dining room and service areas.
• Sweep and mop floors in both the kitchen and the dining room.
• Clean and sanitize all dishes, cookware, and equipment thoroughly.
• Operate and sanitize the mechanical dishwasher.
• Ensure all chemicals and cleaning agents are at the proper level in the mechanical dishwasher.
• Properly follow HACCP guidelines for correct manual dishwashing procedures.
• Ensure clean dishes, flatware, cookware, and equipment are put away properly.
• Assist in restocking all coolers and displays in the dining room.
• Follow sanitation guidelines within Target Hospitality safe operating procedures.
• Exceed our guests’ needs by providing world-class customer service.
• Attend all safety meetings and participate in Target Hospitality emergency response procedures.
• Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Stand and squat for long periods of time, up to 12 hours or more, with scheduled breaks.
• Short- and long-distance walking required.
• Use of stairs and step stools.
• Use force when pushing and pulling carts that weigh on average 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
• Operation of kitchen machinery.
• Frequently lift an average weight of 25 lbs with a maximum of 50 lbs. Where weights may exceed 50 lbs, the assistance of another person or a lifting aid is mandatory.
• Frequently reach below waist, waist to shoulder, and above shoulder, with frequent neck, back, and torso twisting from left to right without restriction.
• Perform repetitive movements at the wrist, including side to side and up or down, and multiple grasps of an average of 10 lbs with a maximum of 25 lbs.
• Occasional manual dexterity requirements, including the ability to type and use a 10-key.
  
  

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms and signals.
• Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes, and able to read small text such as product warning labels.
• Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments.
• Ability to work within a rotational schedule of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or as per manager’s discretion and business needs.
• Ability to work safely and navigate within small, close quarters and congested areas.
• May be exposed periodically to elevated noise and surroundings.
  
  

Qualifications

• 6+ months dishwashing experience or equivalent, preferably in a remote camp or the hotel/hospitality industry.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, in English.
• Valid food safety certification preferred.
• First aid certification preferred.
• Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.
• Must be able to pass a background check and urinalysis.
• Must provide your own transportation to and from the facility.
