Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Dish Machine Operator to support our Back of House team. You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish and sanitation area, operate the dish machine, and ensure dishes are washed, rinsed, and sanitized to restaurant standards.

You’ll help keep kitchen flow smooth by restocking wares, supporting prep tasks, and following opening/closing checklists.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dish and sanitation area.
• Operate the dish machine efficiently while maintaining proper water temperatures and chemical levels.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes following food safety standards.
• Stack and rinse dishware for optimal cleaning results.
• Drain, clean, and refill dish tanks throughout the shift to maintain standards.
• Restock clean wares to proper locations to support kitchen flow.
• Remove trash, break down boxes, and maintain clean disposal areas.
• Maintain dumpster area cleanliness and sanitation.
• Complete prep tasks and support kitchen team members as needed.
• Follow all opening, closing, and cleaning checklists.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and ready for service at all times.
• Work as part of a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen environment.
