Job summary

Groovin' Gourmets, the catering division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, is seeking motivated individuals to join our kitchen team in the Richmond area. This full-time role involves maintaining order, supporting daily kitchen operations, and adhering to food safety standards.

You will work a great schedule and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced catering kitchen serving corporate events, weddings, and social gatherings.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is essential for maintaining clean, orderly workspaces and accurate prep areas.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Commitment to following food safety procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash, collect waste, separate recyclables, and dispose of grease.
• Operate the commercial dishwasher and related sink equipment.
• Manually clean surfaces and scrub debris from pots and surfaces.
• Provide additional support to kitchen staff as needed.

What You Will Be Doing

• Empty trash bins, collect and remove waste from the floor and work surfaces, separate recyclables and properly dispose of grease.
• Run the commercial grade dishwasher, including using the sink sprayer, a lever-operated washing unit and a drying station.
• Manually clean a variety of surfaces, including scrubbing debris off pots and wiping down surfaces.
• Additional support kitchen staff, as needed.
