Job summary

Evolver Inc is seeking a Discovery Business & System Analyst to support the IT Unit by collecting, defining, and documenting requirements for the Discovery Program's projects. The role requires on-site work in Washington, DC and an active TS clearance.

Responsibilities include documenting and redesigning business processes, performing gap analyses, building a requirements database, and gathering market materials from providers to validate new capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5 years of general IT experience across BA, SA, software development, QA, or PM.
• 2 years in BA/SA/software dev/QA/PM in an eDiscovery or legal Discovery environment.
• Active TS clearance with SSBI and ability to obtain SCI.

Responsibilities

• Document and manage business processes to facilitate training, analysis, and redesign.
• Analyze existing processes to identify efficiency improvements.
• Create and maintain a requirements database mapping each requirement.
• Gather materials from industry providers to satisfy identified requirements.
• Assess capabilities to identify gaps that impede processes.
• Validate that proposed solutions deliver the required new business capability.

The Discovery Business & System Analyst will provide professional services to support the IT Unit in collecting, defining, and documenting the requirements that will drive the Discovery Program's project portfolio.

Personnel assigned to this task must have the ability to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure. The Discovery Business & System Analyst will document and manage new and existing business processes in order to facilitate training, analysis, and redesign; conduct a thorough analysis of existing and new business processes and identify opportunities for improving workforce efficiency; conduct a thorough analysis of operational business requirements and conduct a gap analysis for any required modification to an existing business process; create and maintain a requirements database that documents how each existing or new business requirement is being supported; collect marketing materials from industry solution providers that claim to satisfy the identified business requirements; conduct a thorough analysis of existing capabilities against documented business requirements to determine where gaps in technology are impeding or preventing the efficient execution of business processes; validate that any proposed solution successfully delivers a new functional business capability that addresses one or more existing requirements;

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of general IT experience covering the following areas: business analysis, systems analysis, software development, quality assurance, and/or project management
• 2 years of experience doing business analysis, systems analysis, software development, quality assurance, and/or project management in an eDiscovery or Legal environment supporting Discovery
• Active Clearance: Top Secret with SSBI and ability to obtain SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8 years of general IT experience covering the following areas: business analysis, systems analysis, software development, quality assurance, and/or project management
