Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Discharge Transport EMT to coordinate patient discharge transport within the Plano, TX area. You will work with hospitals and transport providers to arrange timely transport based on patient needs.

Two years of clinical or hospital experience, EMT licensure, and strong communication skills are required; ED experience preferred. This on-site role supports multiple PLC facilities and emphasizes professionalism and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical or hospital experience.
• ED and acute hospital experience preferred.
• Call Center/Transfer Center experience preferred.
• Certification/Licensure: EMT Basic, Advanced, or Paramedic licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discharge transport coordination using a clinical information system.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and transport providers for timely transport.
• Maintain professional communication with peers, customers, and supervisors.
• Document and ensure data accuracy in patient records and workflow systems.
