Job summary

Apex Class Action, LLC is seeking a Disbursement Coordinator to support the setup, funding, and distribution of settlement payments. You will coordinate with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Counsel to ensure accurate EIN applications, bank accounts, funding follow-up, and daily reconciliation.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with Microsoft Excel, with strong communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of analyst experience or equivalent in data accuracy and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience using a project tracking or task management tool.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Apply for EINs with the IRS.
• Coordinate with banking partners to open case-related bank accounts.
• Send funding confirmation emails to PM, PC, and Defense teams.
• Follow up on outstanding funding with PM, PC, and Defense teams.
• Verify Class Representative addresses with Plaintiffs’ Counsel.
• Verify attorney fee and cost splits with Plaintiffs’ Counsel.
• Confirm banking instructions with Plaintiffs’ Counsel before issuing payment.
• Reconcile negotiated checks daily and monitor for potential fraud.
• Maintain project management tools to track deadlines and task completion.
• Support distributions and resolve issues with the project management team.
• Assist with account reporting activities (Positive Pay, ACH, wires, and closures).

Job Summary

The Disbursement Coordinator supports the accurate and timely setup, funding, and distribution of settlement-related payments by coordinating with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Counsel. This role is responsible for managing key financial and administrative tasks including EIN applications, bank account setup, funding follow-up, payment verification, daily reconciliation, fraud monitoring, and project tracking. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, experienced with Microsoft Excel and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, communication, and follow-through are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply for Employment Identification Numbers with the Internal Revenue Service.
• Coordinate with banking partners to open and maintain case-related bank accounts.
• Send funding confirmation emails to PM, PC, and Defense teams.
• Follow up with PM, PC, and Defense teams on outstanding funding.
• Request and confirm Class Representative addresses with Plaintiffs’ Counsel.
• Obtain and verify attorney fee and cost splits with Plaintiffs’ Counsel.
• Confirm banking instructions with Plaintiffs’ Counsel before issuing payment.

• 1+ years of analyst experience or equivalent role involving data accuracy, data handling and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite:
