Job summary

Essential HealthCare Solutions, LLC is building a roster of Florida-certified CNAs to provide hands-on basic care and medical-station support at employee shelters during hurricane events in Southwest Florida. This on-call, activation-based role offers meaningful disaster-response experience and flexible deployments.

You will work under RN direction, perform vital signs, ADL support, assist with screening and movement, and help maintain medical supplies.

Qualifications

• Active Florida CNA certification.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a background screening.
• Availability to deploy on short notice and work extended 12-hour shifts in shelter/field conditions.
• Preferred: home-health, long-term-care, disaster-response, or medical-assisting experience; FEMA NIMS IS-100/200/700/800; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care under RN direction—vital signs, ADL support, and patient comfort.
• Assist the nursing team with screening, monitoring, and patient movement.
• Support setup, stocking, and organization of the shelter medical station.
• Track and help maintain medical-supply and PPE inventory; flag replenishment needs.
• Observe and report changes in occupant condition to the RN promptly.
• Assist with infection-prevention practices—hand hygiene, PPE, cleaning and disinfection.
• Help maintain shift logs and supply-usage documentation.
• Support the clinical team with general non-clinical tasks as directed during activations.
