Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking a Disaster Recovery Engineer to enhance enterprise resiliency, planning, and recovery capabilities across on‑prem and cloud environments.

You will coordinate DR testing, maintain runbooks, and work with cross‑functional teams on backup, RPO, and RTO strategies. The role requires hands‑on infrastructure engineering experience, virtualization expertise, and strong troubleshooting and documentation skills in a large-scale environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure and Systems Administration.
• Strong understanding of DR methodologies, high availability architectures and BC planning.
• Experience supporting enterprise server infrastructure in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as Nutanix, VMware vSphere, or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and operational support processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve enterprise DR plans, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
• Coordinate and lead DR testing activities, tabletop exercises, failover testing, and full simulations.
• Validate backup integrity, RPO, and RTO; ensure recovery readiness with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, security, networking, and business teams.
• Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies within infrastructure and application recovery.
• Maintain documentation related to DR architecture and operational standards.
• Participate in incident response and major outage coordination when required.
• Assist with audits, compliance, and governance activities related to DR.
