Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Resiliency Engineer to design and evolve our Infrastructure Resiliency capability, spanning backup, DR orchestration, and cyber-resilient infrastructure. You will shape design standards, reference architectures, and the technology roadmap used by the broader engineering team.

The role requires 5+ years in enterprise infrastructure or DR, experience with cloud recovery (Azure/AWS), and strong technical documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in IT.
5+ years in enterprise infrastructure, data protection, or disaster recovery.
Experience designing or contributing to backup, DR platform architecture across multiple platforms.
Strong command of backup/recovery architecture and cloud recovery design.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end architecture for resiliency platform portfolio across backups, DR orchestration and cyber-resilient infrastructure.
Define design standards, reference architectures, and integration patterns.
Own the infrastructure resiliency roadmap and refresh cadence.
Lead platform technology selection, POCs, and architectural recommendations.
Design target-state recovery architecture and forecast capacity, storage, and licensing needs.
Establish standards for new systems entering resiliency scope and ensure recoverability is built-in.
