Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Cost Estimator to support disaster recovery efforts across the United States. The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work, with an emphasis on defensible documentation and audit-ready analyses.

This on-call cadre position may involve remote, field-based, or hybrid deployments. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of estimating experience and travel willingness to support field assignments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in estimating, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual to detailed cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and construction costs.
• Familiar with modern construction practices and project scopes.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and other disaster recovery programs with scoping and cost estimating.
• Conduct site inspections and assess disaster-related damages for cost estimation.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, subcontractor, and general conditions costs.
• Prepare cost analyses for roads, bridges, utilities, buildings, and related infrastructure.
• Review reports, plans, and contractor documentation for compliance and defensibility.
