Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs across the United States. You will develop accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration, emergency work, and permanent work, reviewing scopes and preparing documentation for funding eligibility.

This on-call cadre position offers remote, field-based, or hybrid deployments depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in cost estimating or related field.
• Experience developing conceptual, parametric, and detailed cost estimates.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, material, and construction costs.
• Familiarity with modern construction practices and project scope development.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs with cost estimating.
• Prepare conceptual, parametric, and bottom‑up cost estimates for projects.
• Develop labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Review engineering plans, proposals, and cost documentation for compliance.
• Maintain audit-ready estimate documentation and project records.
