Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or at least three years of relevant case management experience in social services.
• Disaster experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of local social services and resources for referrals.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough needs assessments and develops recovery plans.
• Provides information and referrals as part of the recovery plan.
• Builds relationships with families to promote self-sufficiency.
• Assists survivors in choosing best recovery actions.
• Implements and monitors recovery plans to restore pre-disaster well-being.
• Delivers extensive case management and follow-up services.
• Provides crisis intervention for emergencies (food, shelter, medical, etc.).
• Utilizes government and community resources for referrals.
• Mobilizes resources to achieve service-plan goals.
• Maintains timely input and up-to-date client records.
• Performs home visits as needed.
• Represents The Salvation Army in meetings and events.
