Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteer teams and engage communities across the assigned area. You will mobilize resources, coordinate partners, and advance disaster readiness and response efforts.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of volunteer program leadership, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Empower Volunteers: Lead and support a diverse volunteer team in disaster cycle services within the assigned geographic area.
• Lead the Program: Implement disaster cycle services activities within the region or area.
• Mission Capacity Building: Develop disaster volunteers and leadership volunteers to meet responsibilities.
