Job summary

Ohio Department of Public Safety – Emergency Management Agency in Columbus, OH seeks a Disaster Service Consultant 2 to supervise the Public Assistance Grant Program and support infrastructure recovery efforts.

You will coordinate with the State Coordinating Officer and partner agencies, determine eligibility for disaster relief programs, and prepare data and cost documentation for federal and state reimbursements. This role requires on-call readiness for disasters and travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency management and disaster services preferred.
• Strong grants administration knowledge is desirable.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to work with multiple agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration of the Public Assistance Grant Program and related infrastructure programs.
• Assist in administration of the State Disaster Relief Program and cost reimbursement documentation.
• Assemble data for state requests for federal disaster assistance.
• Travel to disaster or emergency sites as directed by supervisor.
• Coordinate with federal and local governments on cost documentation for restoration work.
