Job summary

The Salvation Army Northwest Division is seeking a Disaster Services Case Manager to provide direct case management for disaster survivors and their families in Washington. Responsibilities include advocacy, information and referral, crisis intervention, and recovery services with an emphasis on returning clients to self-sufficiency.

Work is centered in Washington with duties across counties; employment status depends on contract funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or at least three years of relevant social services case management experience.
• Preferably knowledge of social services and local resources with ability to provide referrals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough needs assessment and develop recovery plans for disaster-related needs.
• Provide information and referrals as part of a recovery plan.
• Advocate for clients and connect them to resources at local, state, and federal levels.
• Maintain timely input and upkeep of client records.
• Conduct home visits when necessary.
• Represent The Salvation Army and coordinate with internal programs and funding entities.
