Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Disaster Case Manager to provide direct case management services to disaster survivors and their families across Washington state.

This temporary, full-time/part-time, non-exempt role reports to the Cascade Emergency Disaster Services Director and is based in the Washington region. Responsibilities include advocacy, information and referral, crisis intervention, and recovery planning to empower families in need.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of case management experience in social services.
• Disaster experience a plus.
• Knowledge of local social services and resources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough needs assessment and develop recovery plans.
• Provide referrals and crisis intervention to clients as part of recovery plans.
• Advocate for clients with service providers to promote self-sufficiency.
• Assist survivors in determining best actions for short- and long-term recovery.
• Maintain timely input and upkeep of client records; conduct home visits as needed.
