Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Public Health seeks a Social Work Manager to lead social work activities in their county during emergencies, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with licensure and agency policies.

This role includes supervision, program evaluation, and providing advanced social work services to clients, with a focus on coordination of care and leadership of a Disaster Behavioral Health Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited program or equivalent.
• Licensure as LBSW or LMSW by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.
• MSW with LMSW/LISW-CP licensure in good standing preferred.
• Active licensure and ability to supervise social work practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead social work activities within their chain of command in emergencies.
• Provide supervision, consultation and evaluation of social work programs.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and licensure laws.
• Provide field instruction/preceptorship and supervise interns when needed.
• Coordinate social work services and lead the Disaster Behavioral Health Team.
