South Carolina Department of Public Health seeks a Social Work Consultant to lead public health social work across STD/HIV/VH programs and to drive policy development and program planning statewide.

The role requires a social work degree with SC licensure (LBSW/LMSW) and significant experience; a master’s degree and supervisory background are preferred. Hybrid work and state benefits apply.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited program is required.
• Licensure as LBSW or LMSW by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners.
• Master’s degree and supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, evaluate, and provide administrative direction for public health social work in STD/HIV/VH.
• Coordinate statewide consultation and ensure linkage to care per program standards.
• Lead policy development and program planning for the STD/HIV/VH Section.
• Lead professional development, training, and inter-agency collaboration.
