Bidell Gas Compression in West Virginia is seeking a Disassembly & Shipping Technician to prepare natural gas compressor packages for shipment. You will disassemble components, read drawings, label parts, and ensure proper protection and documentation throughout the process.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, familiarity with lifting equipment, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Candidates should be 18+, with a high school diploma and willingness to overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical or industrial experience.
• Millwright experience or mechanical disassembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints or engineering drawings preferred.
• Experience with rigging and overhead cranes; certification preferred.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsabilités

• Disassemble compressor packages, piping systems, and components for shipment according to work instructions and specifications.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, P&IDs, and general arrangement drawings.
• Safely remove piping, tubing, valves, and mechanical components for transport.
• Tag, label, and organize parts to ensure proper identification and reassembly at destination.
• Cap, plug, and protect open lines and components to prevent contamination or damage.
• Prepare equipment and components for shipping, including securing and staging materials.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform disassembly tasks.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and rigging equipment to move and position components (as trained).
• Inspect components for damage and report any issues prior to shipment.
• Complete required documentation related to disassembly and shipping preparation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and LOTO requirements.
• Participate in toolbox meetings and safety training.
