Job summary

ShalePro Energy Services in West Virginia seeks a Natural Gas Compressor Mechanic to maintain gathering system compressor stations and perform disassembly, reassembly, testing and overhauls of energy equipment. You will document activity daily and work with engines, compressors, separators, generators, and VRU systems across multiple site locations.

Expect a safety-conscious team environment, opportunities for field training, and travel up to 25% to WV, OH, PA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge.
• Customer focused attitude and safety awareness.
• Experience maintaining natural gas compression equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Proficient English reading/writing/speaking.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Able to pass drug screens and background checks.
• Knowledge of purging and loading practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment at Natural Gas facilities.
• Utilize a wide range of mechanical tools and test equipment.
• Operate equipment safely and accurately as assigned.
• Identify and report hazards during disassembly, assembly and test setup.
• Overhaul compressors, engines, turbines, motors and auxiliary equipment.
• Provide training to company personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Maintain documentation and paperwork; complete daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Travel up to 25%; work days, nights, weekends as needed.
