Job summary

Central Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Lincoln is seeking a coordinator to assist homeless and near-homeless applicants with Social Security disability benefits and VA healthcare access.

You will coordinate services among SSA, VA, and DHHS and help clients access resources while promoting the agency. The role emphasizes public outreach, SOAR process completion, and collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct three presentations per month within the service area.
• Assist clients in processing disability and VA applications.
• Ensure files and paperwork are complete for families participating in SOAR.
• Attend training on SSI/SSDI benefits, SSVF-mandated training and webinars, and all healthcare navigator training.
• Create and hold a steering committee meeting for Region 2 every quarter.
• Educate applicants on disability and medical processes.
• Adhere to CNCAP-related policies and procedures.
• Promote the program and agency in a positive and professional manner.
