Job summary

The Arc of York & Adams Counties is seeking an Employment Support Specialist to help individuals with disabilities secure and sustain employment. You’ll train on-site and provide follow-up services to support ongoing success.

Location is York, PA with non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed to meet client needs. Some driving may be required in a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED with two years vocational or human services work experience.
• Prefer college/technical school/university degree in Human Services with at least 6 months of related work experience.
• Must pass background checks and have PA driver's license and valid vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Job development including cold calling, visits to potential job sites, and assessments.
• Assess clients for qualifications and match to job openings (Job Analysis functions).
• Provide on‑the‑job training and support until client performs satisfactorily.
• Plan phased withdrawal to increase client independence and set up natural supports.
• Coordinate with other service providers to ensure client success.
• Document information timely for reporting and accountability.
