Job summary

The Arc Wayne seeks a full-time Employment Specialist to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive employment. You will conduct discovery, develop vocational profiles, and support resume and interview preparation while focusing on person-centered goals.

Responsibilities include facilitating job-readiness classes, supporting ongoing employment, and working with employers to address barriers to employment in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with three years of employment services experience.
• Master's degree with one year of employment services experience.
• Must possess a valid New York State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assists individuals with vocational assessment and discovery through home and neighborhood observation.
• Identifies assets, skills and interests; develops vocational profiles.
• Supports resume and cover letter development.
• Facilitates job readiness classes and mock interviews.
• Works with individuals to develop work habits for competitive employment.

Education

Bachelor's Degree with 3 years experience in employment services

Master's Degree with 1 year experience in employment services
