Job summary

Securian Financial is seeking a Group Disability and Leave Product Manager to lead development, launch, and ongoing management of the D&L product portfolio. You will own the product vision and roadmap, ensuring product design, service capabilities, and the customer and distribution experience align with market needs and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Recent Group Disability and Leave product management experience, ideally in the large case market.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to connect and engage team and influence decisions.
• Robust problem-solving skills to remove barriers and drive results.
• Ability to evaluate product performance using financial, operational, customer and market data.
• Self-motivated with flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple issues.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the group D&L product offerings.
• Demonstrate understanding of market position and trends to support decision-making on future innovation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to elicit and align on needs, constraints, risks, and priorities.
• Create compelling product strategy incorporating customer needs and regulatory updates.
• Develop and execute product roadmap with measurable outcomes and regular stakeholder updates.
• Lead cross-functional development and implementation of new Group D&L products and features.
• Collaborate to develop and maintain a training program that builds Group D&L knowledge.
• Develop sales enablement and market-facing materials communicating D&L value proposition.
• Represent D&L expertise with clients, distribution partners, industry groups, and events.
